Use Benadryl With Children With Allergies - Consider giving your child some food or a glass of milk before administering Benadryl. Although this is not required, it can avoid the side effect of upset stomach.
If your child cannot easily swallow tablets or capsules with water, consider using the liquid form of Benadryl or the rapidly dissolving tablets or strips. To use the rapidly dissolving tablets or strips, simply place them on the tip of your child's tongue until they have dissolved completely. Then encourage your child to swallow, or give your child a cup of water to wash it down.
